Job summary

Haskins Ferndown is looking for a Kitchen Porter for Sundays, 9:30am to 5:30pm, on a part‑time, permanent basis. You will join our family‑owned restaurant team within the Ferndown garden centre.

Your duties include washing up, general kitchen and pot wash, receiving deliveries, keeping stores clean and completing cleaning schedules. We offer retail discounts, the Cycle Scheme, a Health Cash Plan, charity days and a company pension.

We are recruiting a Kitchen Porter on a part-time, permanent basis, working 7 hours every Sunday (9:30am-5:30pm).

Pay Rate up to £12.71 per hour.

The role of Kitchen Porter

To provide assistance within the kitchen, ensuring all policies and procedures are being followed correctly and maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and pot wash areas.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Washing up and general housekeeping duties
• Excepting deliveries and storing them away properly
• General responsibility of clean storage areas
• Completion of cleaning schedules Disposal of waste and recycling

About You

This role is well suited to a self-motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking individual with excellent customer service skills and a desire to learn.

You must be able to work on your own initiative, sometimes under pressure, in a fast-moving environment. You will need be able to communicate well and work as part of a large team.
