• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, including work surfaces, equipment, floors and storage areas.
• Wash, sanitise and organise crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils efficiently and safely.
• Assist with stock rotation and basic food storage procedures, ensuring items are stored correctly.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning machinery with care and attention.
• Respond promptly to requests from kitchen and service staff, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative approach.

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen, including work surfaces, equipment, floors, and storage areas - Wash, sanitise, and organise crockery, cutlery, glassware, and cooking utensils efficiently and safely - Support the kitchen team by clearing and preparing workstations between service periods
• Dispose of waste responsibly and maintain organised refuse areas in compliance with health and safety regulations - Assist with stock rotation and basic food storage procedures, ensuring items are stored correctly - Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and cleaning machinery with care and attention
• Respond promptly to requests from kitchen and service staff, demonstrating flexibility and a collaborative approach - Report any maintenance issues, breakages, or hygiene concerns to management immediately - Adhere to all food safety and health and safety protocols at all times - Contribute to a positive, inclusive kitchen environment through reliable attendance and a supportive attitude, As a Holroyd Howe colleague working as a Kitchen Porter, you will not only be working in beautiful surroundings you will also be entitled to a variety of benefits including:

  The ability to organise supplier deliveries and store rooms; coordinate food and hospitality deliveries across the estate to various outlets through your team of five Kitchen Porters
• Have a strong understanding of health and safety; be adaptable and customer-focused; be excellently organised; show great attention to detail; be a team member and enjoy success as a team; and have a flexible approach to work.,
• Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or cleaning role is desirable but not essential; we are happy to provide induction and training - Ability to work efficiently and remain calm in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment - Strong attention to detail with a genuine commitment to cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Physical stamina and capability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks - Good manual dexterity and coordination when handling crockery, glassware, and equipment - Reliable, punctual, and demonstrating a strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn and take on feedback constructively - Basic communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team - Understanding of, or willingness to learn, health and safety protocols and food safety practices - Desirable: Food safety awareness or basic food hygiene knowledge - Desirable: Previous experience in a professional kitchen environment
  Shifts Patterns are mostly Monday-Friday with approximately 10 weekends per year
