Ucb Restaurants Ltd. is hiring a Kitchen Porter for the opening brigade at Beyond, University College Birmingham's new restaurant in Birmingham City Centre. The role is salaried with set hours and offers a route into cooking across the group.

Salary starts at £30,500 per year plus circa £4,000 tronc. Working 45 hours per week with 28 days of holiday (including bank holidays) and opportunities for training and progression within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen porter or commercial kitchen experience, or a genuine willingness to learn
• Able to keep pace and stay organised through a full service
• Understands basic food safety and cleaning standards, or is happy to be trained in them
• Takes pride in a clean kitchen and a tidy section
• Reliable and on time for every shift
• Available across a seven day operation, including evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean, the pot wash under control and the deliveries put away, and be part of the brigade from day one.
• This is a salaried role on a permanent contract with set hours at Beyond, University College Birmingham's new restaurant in Birmingham City Centre.
