Job summary

UCB - Beyond in Birmingham City Centre is recruiting a Chef de Partie for the opening brigade. You will run your own section across day and dinner menus, with a 45-hour week and a permanent contract starting December 2026.

Training is funded by University College Birmingham, and the role features a supportive team, staff meals, and staff discounts. The successful candidate will have earlier Chef de Partie experience, be able to manage a section through a full service, and maintain high standards

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef de Partie in a fresh-food kitchen.
• Ability to run a section through a full service.
• Comfortable managing two menus and learning new dishes.
• Strong on food safety and allergen controls.
• Reliable and punctual with good team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Run your own section across both menus throughout service.
• Support the brigade during opening and busy periods.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and waste control.
