Beyond, the new restaurant at University College Birmingham in Birmingham City Centre, is hiring a Kitchen Porter for their opening brigade. The role is salaried with set hours, with structured training and a clear path into cooking if you wish.

You will keep the kitchen clean, manage pot wash, and ensure deliveries are put away, joining a professional team from day one. The position offers progression through a group of sites.

Qualificações

• Previous kitchen porter or commercial kitchen experience, or willingness to learn.
• Able to keep pace and stay organised through a full service.
• Understands basic food safety and cleaning standards, or is happy to be trained in them.
• Takes pride in a clean kitchen and a tidy section.
• Reliable and on time for every shift.
• Available across a seven day operation, including evenings and weekends.

Kitchen Porter | Birmingham City Centre, B3 | £30,500 plus circa £4,000 tronc

We're looking for a Kitchen Porter to join the opening brigade at Beyond, University College Birmingham's new restaurant in Birmingham City Centre, opening in December 2026. Beyond is a commercial kitchen run by a professional team, and this is a purely operational role with no teaching involved. You'll keep the kitchen clean, the pot wash under control and the deliveries put away, and you'll be part of the brigade from day one. The role is salaried with set hours, and if you want to learn to cook, there's a route into the kitchen here and across the group.
