Job summary

Sketchley Grange Hotel & Spa in Hinckley, England, invites applications for a Kitchen Porter. You will maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, assist with food prep, and support the Head Chef to uphold high standards.

This role requires a proactive, flexible team player who can work varied shifts, including weekends, and commit to health, safety and food hygiene practices. Full-time employment with training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to work independently and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in all kitchen areas following established procedures set by the Head Chef.
• Assist in food preparation when required.
• Ensure that kitchen utensils, cookware and crockery are cleaned in a timely manner.
• Follow health & safety, cleanliness and food hygiene practices.
• Assist in par stock ordering for cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Be aware of COSHH regulations and PPE usage.
• Support the Head Chef with stock taking and storage of stock deliveries.
• Attend all Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Food Safety training as directed by your Line Manager.
