Job summary

Haven is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join its busy kitchen team in the United Kingdom. The role involves maintaining a clean kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation, and supporting chefs to keep service running smoothly.

The position offers full-time, part-time or seasonal shifts with pay rates up to £12.71 per hour, dependent on age. The ideal candidate will be energetic, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and willing to learn.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but kitchen background is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods.
• Excellent team player with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Keep the kitchen clean and orderly by washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, as well as sanitising surfaces, equipment, and floors according to health and safety standards.
• Perform basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, prepping ingredients, and assembling simple dishes as directed by the chefs.
• Help maintain stock levels in the kitchen by organising ingredients, unpacking deliveries, and storing items properly.
