Job summary

Sodexo at Royal Stoke Hospital is seeking a Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen running smoothly, supporting chefs and ensuring every dish meets high standards. The role offers a dynamic environment with varied tasks and shift patterns, including 4 days on and 4 days off, with a 10am-9pm schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carry out range of kitchen porter duties per schedules and supervisor instructions.
• Comply with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
• Take responsibility for personal and team health & safety, ensuring no risk to others.
• Deliver ad hoc food and equipment items to wards and clinical areas.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to support catering delivery.
• Complete daily records and documentation accurately and on time.
• Move food trolleys and equipment safely following procedures.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, infection control and proper equipment maintenance.
