Job summary

Blenheim Palace is recruiting a Kitchen Porter to join our Catering team. You will help keep our kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, safe and running smoothly, reporting to the Sous Chef/Head Chef. You may assist with food preparation and are expected to uphold high hygiene and safety standards throughout the operation.

The role involves 45 hours per week with five out of seven days, and a strong emphasis on teamwork and reliability in a busy catering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within catering.
• Experience of working as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to role.
• Committed to keeping the kitchen and back-of-house area clean and tidy.
• Understanding of statutory and company requirements for food safety, and health and safety.
• Able to complete cleaning schedules, and delivery and temperature records accurately.
• Mindful of stock rotation to help reduce food waste.
• Compliant with company and legal regulations surrounding health and safety and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen with cleaning, waste disposal and equipment care.
• May assist with food preparation when needed.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene and safety in the catering operation.
