Job summary

The Imperial Hotel in Bloomsbury, London is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen running smoothly and safely. This role is on-site and involves a 40-hour week, spread over 5 days out of a 7-day weekly rota, in a busy hotel kitchen.

You’ll join a vibrant team, supporting cleaning, stock handling and deliveries while following food safety procedures and maintaining high hygiene standards. Opportunities for progression exist within the kitchen brigade.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Kitchen Porter.
• Basic English communication (CEFR A1).

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashers and cleaning equipment to maintain spotless plates, cutlery and kitchen tools.
• Clean appliances, work surfaces and non-food contact areas to high hygiene standards.
• Support stock storage, deliveries and yard maintenance.
• Follow food safety procedures and maintain excellent personal hygiene.
• Use chemicals, detergents and sanitising products safely and correctly (training provided).
• Assist kitchen staff and drivers with internal deliveries when needed.
• Attend required kitchen and food safety training.
