BaxterStorey is hiring a Kitchen Porter at our Moorgate location in London. The role is 40 hours per week with no weekend service, offering 14.80 GBP per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.

You will dishwash, keep kitchen spaces clean and sanitary, help with basic food prep, manage inventory, and ensure health and safety standards are met. The team emphasizes collaboration, training, and career development.

Qualifications

• No formal education is required; a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred.
• Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and sanitation practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing: Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment by hand or using industrial dishwashers.
• Kitchen cleanliness: Clean and sanitise surfaces, countertops and food prep areas; manage waste disposal.
• Food preparation: Assist chefs with basic prep tasks such as peeling, chopping and slicing ingredients.
• Inventory management: Assist in receiving, storing and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients.
• Compliance with health and safety: Maintain cleanliness and equipment condition.
