Côte Brasserie is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our Back of House team in York. You’ll help keep the kitchen clean, safe and well-organised, ensuring dishes and service run smoothly behind the scenes.

You’ll support chefs, handle dishwashing duties and assist with light prep. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are essential for a busy, guest-focused kitchen.

Responsabilités

• Keep the kitchen and back-of-house areas spotless, safe and organised, before, during and after service.
• Operate the dishwasher and ensure crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are clean and ready for use.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and assist with basic food prep when needed.
• Manage waste and recycling safely and responsibly.
• Monitor equipment faults or hazards and report them promptly.
• Support chefs and assist during busy periods to maintain flow.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times

We’re looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our Back of House team, the people behind the scenes who help keep our kitchens clean and organised, enabling our teams to deliver our high-quality dishes to our guests.

What You’ll Do

• Keep the kitchen and back-of-house areas spotless, safe and organised, before, during and after service.
• Operate the dishwasher and make sure crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are clean and ready when the team needs them.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and support the kitchen with basic food preparation when needed.
• Manage waste and recycling safely and responsibly.
• Keep an eye out for equipment faults or hazards and let the team know when something needs attention.
• Support the chefs wherever you can, especially when the kitchen is busy.
• Follow our food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
