Job summary

Côte Brasserie in the United Kingdom is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our Back of House team. You will help keep the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly so the chefs can focus on delivering high‑quality dishes to guests.

You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen, following food safety and health & safety standards, learning new cleaning systems and assisting with food prep when needed. A positive, team‑first attitude is valued.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen and back-of-house areas spotless, safe and organised.
• Operate the dishwasher and ensure crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are clean and ready.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and support basic food prep when needed.
• Manage waste and recycling safely and responsibly.
• Monitor equipment for faults or hazards and report them.
• Support the chefs during busy service times.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.

What You’ll Do

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be an essential part of the kitchen team, helping keep everything behind the scenes running smoothly so our chefs can do what they do best.

• Keep the kitchen and back-of-house areas spotless, safe and organised, before, during and after service.
• Operate the dishwasher and make sure crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are clean and ready when the team needs them.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and support the kitchen with basic food preparation when needed.
• Manage waste and recycling safely and responsibly.
• Keep an eye out for equipment faults or hazards and let the team know when something needs attention.
• Support the chefs wherever you can, especially when the kitchen is busy.
• Follow our food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards at all times.
