Job summary

The Square in Clifton is hiring a reliable, fun Kitchen Porter to join our supportive team in a bustling, well-equipped kitchen. Part-time hours and a friendly environment await with full training provided.

You'll help maintain cleanliness, wash up, manage stock, and assist with very basic food prep. Availability on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays is preferred, with some weekend shifts also possible.

Qualifications

• May have had some prior experience in a similar role, but this is not required as full training will be offered.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen in line with Environmental Health standards (training will be provided)
• Washing up, cleaning all plates, pans and other items (both by hand, and using a catering dishwasher)
• Putting away orders using good stock rotation practices
• Removing recycling and general waste to outdoor bins
• On occasion, you may be involved in very basic food preparation (peeling, chopping etc)
• Will have good availability across the week, including weekends (as this is a part time role, we are of course able to work around any days where you can't work due to other commitments, within reason!)
• Will be a hard worker and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Will be a friendly and fun member of the team - willing to get stuck in!
• Will be reliable and committed to supporting the venue they are working in

Job description

We are looking for a reliable, fun, and hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our teams the Square in Clifton. You'll be working in a well-equipped kitchen with an excellent, supportive, and friendly team (from back of house to front of house!).

The Kitchen Porter Role at a glance:

Location: The Square, on Berkeley Square (BS8). You’ll find a team that genuinely supports each other - we work hard, but we laugh a lot too

Hours: part time, 24-28 hours per week, usually worked over approx. 3 shifts each week

Typical schedule: rota-based, with particular availability needed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. While you can expect your shifts to quite often fall on these days, there may be variation from this on occasion so good availability across other days and weekends is also ideal.
