Job summary

The Club Company in the United Kingdom operates premium golf and country clubs, delivering a high standard of food, service and guest experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to support food preparation and ensure the smooth running of our kitchen at one of our clubs.

You will obtain ingredients, follow recipes, keep the kitchen clean and hygienic, store utensils properly, and assist the chef team.

Qualifications

• Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain ingredients and small equipment for food preparation.
• Follow standard recipes and prepare food according to Club specifications.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic kitchen environment and clean all utensils and equipment.
• Clean food storage areas and manage waste.
• Assist the chef team and participate in departmental meetings.

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Kitchen Porter support in food preparation and ensure the smooth running of our kitchen. In this role, you will assist with obtaining ingredients, clean food preparation equipment, and maintain a safe, tidy kitchen environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for obtaining the necessary ingredients and small equipment for food preparation. You will follow standard recipes and ensure food preparation is executed according to the Club’s specifications. You will use safe and sanitary food handling practices, while maintaining cleanliness in your workstation, including washing all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils to the required standards. Your duties will also include cleaning food storage areas, managing waste, and ensuring all kitchen utensils are properly stored. You will actively contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and hygienic kitchen environment, assist the chef team where needed, and participate in departmental meetings.

Experience & Skills Required:

• Previous hospitality industry cooking experience preferred.

Schedule:

• We operate a 7-days a week business, between 0600 to 2300
• Shift patterns will vary as per business requirements and encompass all opening hours - weekends and bank holidays
• Evening availability for functions (until 0200)
