Job summary

The Berkeley Scott Group is seeking Kitchen Porters and Kitchen Assistants to join a dedicated on-site kitchen team in Sunderland. Immediate start and regular, ongoing shifts provide stable work in a busy catering environment.

Ideal candidates are reliable, punctual and able to work well in a team, with a focus on cleanliness and food safety. Previous kitchen or catering experience is highly desirable, with training offered where needed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting chefs during busy service periods.
• Assisting with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties.
• Operating dishwashers and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Washing up and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised and hygienic.
• Assisting with kitchen close-down procedures.
• Following instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Complying with all food hygiene and health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
• Assisting with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties
• Operating dishwashers and cleaning kitchen equipment
• Washing up and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised and hygienic
• Assisting with kitchen close-down procedures
• Following instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
• Complying with all food hygiene and health and safety procedures

About You
