Job summary

Berkeley Scott in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking reliable Kitchen Porters or Kitchen Assistants to join a dedicated on-site catering team. Immediate start with ongoing, regular shifts and flexible patterns.

Weekly pay and consistent work at one established client site provide a stable role for reliable, hardworking individuals. You will support chefs during service, help with basic food preparation, operate dishwashers, and maintain high cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to work in a busy kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Committed to cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Experience in kitchen or catering is desirable.
• DBS/food safety training may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support chefs and kitchen staff during service.
• Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen duties.
• Operate dishwashers and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Wash up and keep kitchen areas clean and hygienic.
• Assist with kitchen close-down procedures and tidying.
