Job summary

Clifton College in Bristol is seeking a Catering Staff member to join a dynamic team. Responsibilities include cleaning equipment, operating the dishwasher, and maintaining hygiene in all catering areas. The role may involve occasional overtime for special events and basic food prep assistance as needed.

You will work under Sodexo's service on site, contributing to a safe, clean and efficient kitchen while supporting a welcoming dining experience for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean allocated pieces of catering equipment using correct instructions and materials.
• Run the industrial dishwasher to support smooth kitchen operations.
• Store and dispose of waste correctly in line with mandatory regulations
• Comply with all company and statutory health, safety and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all catering areas.
• Handle equipment with care to minimise breakages.
• Ensure all catering equipment is cleaned promptly.
• Assist at special events, sometimes outside regular hours (overtime paid).
• Help with simple food prep when required.
• Report accidents, fire, theft, loss or damage and take appropriate action.
