Another Place, The Lake is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our team at Ullswater. You\'ll help maintain a clean and organized kitchen, wash dishes, and ensure smooth operations, with occasional shifts at The Glasshouse.

This role guarantees 16 hours per week, with potential for additional hours up to full-time, in a beautiful lakeside setting offering tips, parking, and dining benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily service preparation.
• Wash crockery and keep surfaces clean and organized.
• Clean pots in the pot wash area and maintain cleanliness.
• Remove and replace waste and bin bags promptly.
• Sweep floors and keep kitchen corridors tidy and safe.
• Assist back-of-house operations and overall kitchen flow.
• Record waste accurately and maintain hygiene standards.
• Support Executive/Head Chef and management as required.

Kitchen Porter - Another Place, The Lake | Kitchen | 16 hours, 2 days per week (minimum)

Our Kitchen Porter Role:

We're looking for a Kitchen Porter to support our team.

You'll help maintain a clean and organised CPU kitchen, wash and sanitise dishes, and ensure a smooth operation that everyone can take pride in, as well as occasionally completing shifts at our Victorian-style restaurant The Glasshouse, renowned for its wood-fired pizza down at the water's edge.

This opportunity guarantees 16 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours up to full-time.

As our Kitchen Porter you’ll be:

• Helping with any preparation needed for daily service
• Washing crockery, cutlery and ensuring that work surfaces are clean and tidy
• Cleaning all pots in the pot wash area, and maintaining cleanliness of the area
• Ensuring full refuse bags are removed and replaced promptly
• Ensuring that full swing bins are removed and replaced immediately, as well as clearing any spillages
• Cleaning the floor area daily and at the Chef's discretion
• Sweeping and cleaning the corridors and passageways through the kitchen
• Assisting the smooth running of all aspects of the kitchen and back of house areas
• Maintaining an organised, clean and safe workplace for all
• Correctly recording all waste in the appropriate method
• Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and personal hygiene to the standard required by the hotel and by law
• Carrying out other duties as required to the Executive Chef, Head Chef and Management
