Job summary

Potters Resorts is seeking a Kitchen Porter for its Five Lakes Resort in Essex. The role focuses on keeping kitchenware clean and supporting chefs in a fast-paced environment.

You will work full-time, 40 hours per week, on shifts from 7:30am–4:00pm and 2:00pm–10:30pm, five days out of seven, including weekends and bank holidays. Training and benefits are provided, with progression opportunities within a fully inclusive resort environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep cutlery, crockery, pots and utensils clean and hygienic.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Assist chefs with food preparation as needed (peeling/chopping vegetables).
• Follow HACCP and Food Hygiene regulations.
• Support waste management and recycling efforts.

About the Kitchen Porter role;

• Ensure that cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils are kept clean and hygienic at all times
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding role
• To work efficiently and to keep within time frames
• Ensure bins are used for the correct waste, supporting recycling and promoting good waste management
• Working safely by following HACCP and Food Hygiene regulations
• To assist the chefs with essential food preparation as required, including peeling and chopping vegetables

Hours of work:

• This is a full time role working 40 hours per week

Working a combination of the following shifts:

7.30am - 4.00pm

2.00pm - 10.30pm

Working 5 days out of 7 which will include working weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
