Job summary

HF Holidays Limited is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team at The Peveril of the Peak Country House. The role supports the Head Chef and kitchen team, with responsibilities including cleaning all food prep areas and equipment, maintaining high cleanliness standards, and assisting in preparing vegetables, salads and picnic lunches as required.

Live-in accommodation is available, with meals and utilities included. The post requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Team player with flexibility to work evenings (9pm finish) and weekends.
• Previous experience in a busy kitchen is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef, Sous Chef and Chef by cleaning all Food Preparation areas and equipment.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness throughout service.
• Assist in the preparation of vegetables, salads and picnic lunches when required.

Contract: Full Time - Contract till January 2027

Salary: £12.71per hour

What will you be doing:

Working in ourPeveril of the PeakCountry House we provide a retreat for up to 75guests who stay with us for guided or self-guided walking tour holidays. We always know when and where our guests need serving. We know the number of guests we will be hosting each week, and our mealtimes are fixed. We plan our menus in advance and get pre orders for lunch and dinner. Your role as Kitchen Porter will be to support the Head Chef, Sous Chef and Chef clean all Food Preparation areas and equipment. You will ensure the kitchen is maintained to a clean standard throughout service and assist in the preparation of vegetables, salads and picnic lunches when required.
