Job summary

Talosats Careers is seeking a Kitchen Porter for a part-time role in Omagh. You will keep the kitchen clean, hygienic and organised, support chefs and baristas, and help maintain a smooth service flow.

You’ll operate the dishwasher, assist with basic prep, manage waste and keep stock areas tidy. Training provided; must have the right to work in the UK and be able to work Monday–Friday.

• Ready for an active role: You can stand for long periods, work in a warm environment and lift heavy items, such as crates of deliveries.
• A true team player: You bring a positive attitude and work brilliantly as part of a close-knit team.
• Quick and efficient: You can work confidently under pressure during busy lunchtime or weekend rushes.
• Experience is welcome, not essential: Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a café or hospitality setting is a plus, but we’ll provide training.
• Eligible to join us: You have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Keep it sparkling: Operate the industrial dishwasher; wash pots, pans, plates and cutlery; then dry and restock everything quickly.
• Champion kitchen hygiene: Clean and sanitise work surfaces, walls, floors and food-preparation areas—including sinks, stoves and fridges—before, during and after shifts.
• Support the team: Help with basic food preparation when needed, including washing, peeling and chopping vegetables or fruit.
• Stay on top of waste: Empty kitchen bins and ensure all waste is correctly sorted into recycling or disposal areas.
• Keep stock moving: Receive deliveries, check them for accuracy, and keep the stockroom and walk-in fridges organised.
• Put safety first: Follow all health, safety and hygiene regulations, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) standards.
• Help every area look its best: Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the café seating area, staff rooms or public restrooms when requested.
