Berkeley Scott is recruiting Kitchen Porters and Kitchen Assistants to join a dedicated on-site kitchen team in Newcastle. Immediate start and ongoing regular shifts provide stability in a single location with a professional catering team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
• Assisting with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties.
• Operating dishwashers and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Washing up and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised and hygienic.
• Assisting with kitchen close-down procedures.
• Following instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Complying with all food hygiene and health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
• Assisting with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties
• Operating dishwashers and cleaning kitchen equipment
• Washing up and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised and hygienic
• Assisting with kitchen close-down procedures
• Following instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager

About You

An Enhanced DBS certificate is desirable but not essential. A Food Safety Certificate is also beneficial, although training may be available for the right candidate.
