Job summary

Berkeley Scott is recruiting Kitchen Porters and Kitchen Assistants to join a dedicated on-site kitchen team in Leeds. This role offers immediate starts, ongoing shifts, and flexible patterns to fit your availability.

You will support chefs during busy periods, assist with basic prep, operate dishwashers, and maintain high cleanliness and hygiene standards. Training in food safety may be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods
• Assisting with basic food preparation and general kitchen duties
• Operating dishwashers and cleaning kitchen equipment
• Washing up and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Keeping kitchen areas clean, organised and hygienic
• Assisting with kitchen close-down procedures
• Following instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager
• Complying with all food hygiene and health and safety procedures

About You

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Experienced in a kitchen or catering environment

Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Kitchen Assistant, Catering Assistant or Chef Assistant is highly desirable.

An Enhanced DBS certificate is desirable but not essential. A Food Safety Certificate is also beneficial, although training may be available for the right candidate.
