Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. You will help maintain cleanliness, assist with basic prep, and support efficient kitchen operations in a fast-paced fine dining setting.

Join us on a minimum 20-hour contract with competitive hourly pay, plus troncs, staff discounts, and a management development program. Prior kitchen experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is required, though experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are continuously stocked, e.g. blue roll & sanitizer.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.
