Job summary

The Ivy Collection in Glasgow is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team in a dynamic, high-volume environment. You will help maintain cleanliness, assist with basic food preparation, and support overall kitchen operations to ensure smooth service.

We offer competitive hourly pay (plus tronc), a 20-hour minimum contract, and benefits including staff discounts, extra holiday allowance after years of service, and a development program for career progression.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but kitchen experience is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are stocked, e.g. blue roll & sanitizer.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.
