Job summary

The Ivy Brasserie in Glasgow is expanding with The Ivy Asia, the first of its kind in Scotland, located in a historic building. We are seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen clean, support basic prep, and assist with efficient operations.

Join our kitchen team to help maintain high standards, with competitive hourly pay, staff discounts, and career development opportunities. A minimum 20-hour contract is guaranteed, with extra holidays for long service.

Qualifications

• No previous experience is required, although experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are continuously stocked, i.e. blue roll & sanitizer.

Housed within one of Glasgow's most iconic historic buildings, this exciting new destination will bring together two exceptional restaurant concepts under one roof, complemented by elegant private dining facilities. This landmark opening represents a significant milestone for The Ivy Collection and an exciting new chapter for hospitality in the city.

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.
