Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team in the United Kingdom. You will help maintain cleanliness, assist with basic prep, and support efficient operations in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

No prior experience is required, though kitchen experience is preferred. You will wash dishes, assist with deliveries, stock cleaning supplies, and help keep the kitchen safe and organized.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, but kitchen experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Understanding of basic health and safety in a kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals and supplies are stocked and organized.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.

• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are continuously stocked, i.e. blue roll & sanitizer.

Requirements:

• No previous experience is required, although experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
