Job summary

The Ivy Collection in Bournemouth is seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. You will help maintain cleanliness, assist with basic food preparation, and support kitchen operations to ensure smooth service.

No previous experience required, though experience in a kitchen is preferred. The role offers a guaranteed minimum 20 hours per week and access to staff discounts, holiday allowances, and progression opportunities within The Ivy Collection.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are stocked.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.

Requirements:

• No previous experience is required, although experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
