Job summary

Sodexo in Epsom is hiring a Kitchen Porter for 20 hours per week at £13.45 per hour to support our chefs and Food Service Assistants and keep the kitchen running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
• Wash dishes, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
• Clean fridges, work surfaces, equipment, floors, walls and doors.
• Receive, check and store deliveries.
• Support stock rotation and stock takes.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
• Support the chefs during service.
• Attend required training and support the wider team.

At Sodexo, you'll belong in a team where everyone plays an important part in delivering an exceptional customer experience. We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team in Epsom, supporting our chefs and Food Service Assistants to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

You'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, supporting food preparation, managing deliveries and ensuring the kitchen is ready to deliver an excellent service every day.

What you'll do

• Keep kitchen areas clean, tidy and hygienic
• Wash dishes, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment
• Clean fridges, work surfaces, equipment, floors, walls and doors
• Remove waste and maintain clean bin areas
• Receive, check and store deliveries
• Support stock rotation and stock takes
• Ensure stock is stored safely and correctly
• Follow opening and closing procedures
• Complete required paperwork and records
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly
• Support the chefs and Food Service Assistants during service
• Prioritise tasks and respond to changing business needs
• Follow all food safety, COSHH, health & safety and company procedures
• Attend required training and support the wider team when needed
