Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support a busy kitchen. You’ll help maintain cleanliness, assist with basic prep and ensure ware is washed and returned promptly. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced catering environment, suitable for those with or without previous kitchen experience.

We offer full training, a supportive team, and the chance to contribute to excellent service in daily operations. The position runs 40 hours per week, five days out of seven, with shifts from early to late.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or catering experience is desirable but not essential.
• Full training will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the kitchen, utensils and equipment.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic preparation and general kitchen duties.
• Ensure dishes, pots and equipment are washed efficiently and returned to the appropriate areas.
• Dispose of waste safely and correctly, following site procedures.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report any shortages or requirements to the appropriate person.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations at all times.
