Job summary

The Compleat Food Group in Bristol is seeking a Kitchen Production Operative to join our 12-hour shift team. You will follow procedures for cooking batches of Soup & Sauce, operate automated lines, and maintain hygiene and quality standards within a 24/7 production environment.

We value a good standard of English and Maths, teamwork, flexibility and a strong awareness of health and food safety. Full training is provided and benefits include pension and overtime enhancements.

Qualifications

• Good English and Maths skills required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts.
• Experience in production or FMCG preferred.
• Safety and hygiene knowledge training provided.
• Strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow written procedures for cooking batches of Soup & Sauce (training provided).
• Comply with SOPs to meet orders, hygiene, quality and cost targets.
• Work in a small team in an automated environment with heavy loading tasks.
• Operate production lines and automated equipment.
• Maintain hygiene and quality standards.
• Collaborate within a 24/7 manufacturing team.
• Ensure food safety and health & safety practices.

Salary: £13.40 per hour

As a Kitchen Production Operative you will be:

• Follow written procedures for cooking batches of Soup & Sauce (full training will be provided)
• To comply with all our Standard Operating Procedures to ensure customer orders are produced safely, on time, and all aspects of hygiene, quality and cost are met.
• Work as a member of a small team in an automated environment that will include an element of physical work when loading equipment.
• Operating production lines and automated equipment
• Maintaining hygiene and quality standards
• Working collaboratively within a 24/7 manufacturing team
• Ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety practices

What we’re looking for

We are looking for the following skill set, but not limited to, and full training will be provided:

• A good standard of English and Maths
• Comfortable working a 12-hour shift
• Experience in a similar production or FMCG environment preferred (not essential)
• Flexible and adaptable to different tasks
• Strong awareness of health, safety, and food hygiene standards (training provided)
• A team player with good communication and attention to detail
