Job summary

Stonegate Group is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to guide and develop the kitchen brigade at Slug And Lettuce in Richmond. You will coach and mentor the team, maintain high food standards, ensure COSHH, Food Safety and H&S compliance, and help drive the brigade forward with the Kitchen Manager.

You will lead by example in food preparation, stock management, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen, contributing to a lively pub environment on a busy shift schedule.

Qualifications

• The ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team.
• A high standard of food knowledge and skill.
• Up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, and legal knowledge.
• Willingness to develop personally while helping the brigade forward at Slug And Lettuce.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager.
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for guests.
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas to improve kitchen performance.
• Lead the team to achieve company targets.
