Job summary

Trading Post Coffee Roasters in Brighton is seeking a passionate Head Chef who thrives under pressure and can lead and inspire the performance of the kitchen to ensure guests have a great experience.

As Head Chef you’ll be a true leader with a strong personality, guiding the team to deliver exceptional hospitality, overseeing food safety, menu development, stock management, and the commercial performance of the kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Managing all aspects of a high-volume and fast-paced kitchen.
• Lead your team to follow the company specification for all food.
• Supporting the development of all kitchen team members, identify learning needs, and deliver training where required.
• Motivate all team members to deliver their best selves at all times.
• Manage the commercials of your kitchen, including sales, labour & stock control.
• Display a smart and professional appearance, always striving to represent Trading Post Coffee Roasters in a positive way.

Trading Post Coffee Roasters is an artisan coffee roasting and hospitality business that, since opening in 2017, has expanded to serve freshly roasted coffee, brunch, and cocktails across Brighton and Sussex. Exceptional coffee and quality food is at the heart of everything we do and who we are. We always aspire to deliver the best quality, consistency, and service in all our Coffee Houses. You’llbe leading and engaging the team to deliver great hospitality and impeccablestandards whilst driving sales and a strong commercial performance.Specifically you’ll be responsible for all aspects of the kitchen operation andperformance, including food, health and safety, menu development, food qualityand standards, brand standards, kitchen operations, guest experience, ordering,stock management, sales and profit.
