Trading Post Coffee Roasters is an artisan coffee roasting and hospitality business known for freshly roasted coffee, brunch, and cocktails across Brighton and Sussex. We roast organic and Rainforest Alliance certified beans and are dedicated to sustainability and high standards of service.

We are seeking an experienced Head Barista to lead the team, ensure consistent coffee quality, and deliver fast, friendly service.

Qualifications

• Strong barista skills and passion for high-quality coffee.

Responsibilities

• Dialing in grinders for blends and single origins to brand standard.
• Open and close the coffee section independently.
• Train and develop team members and encourage professional development.
• Maintain standard speed of service, coffee quality and consistency in a fast-paced environment.
• Pouring advanced latte art and understanding alternative milks.
• Maintain cleanliness standards at all times.
• Demonstrate understanding of all Trading Post blends and tasting notes.
• Deliver great hospitality with personality within the hospitality standards framework.
• Undertake regular training and self-improvement.
• Lead and support a busy team and contribute to team-driven results.
• Display a smart and professional appearance, representing Trading Post Coffee Roasters.

We arelooking for an experienced Head Barista to lead the team to ensure that coffeeat Trading Post Coffee Roasters is always delivered to the very best standard.This means ensuring that the team are always engaging with guests, that thequality of the coffee served to our guests is always consistent, and that aprompt speed of service is always provided. You’ll have top attention todetail, along with a genuine passion for all things coffee. You will becomfortable working with our top-of-the-range machines and grinders and have astrong understanding of at-home brewing methods to be able to adviseyourcustomers.

Leadingfrom the front, our Head Baristas demonstrate a 'we're all in this together'attitude, experience in recruiting and developing a team, managing andcontrolling stock, and what it takes to be an effective leader. You’ll beconfident in a customer-focused environment and know what it takes to alwaysdeliver top-quality coffee and great hospitality.
