Job summary

Grass Hoppers at Otley Garden Centre is seeking a Kitchen Lead to guide the kitchen team, ensure smooth service and deliver high-quality dishes. You’ll lead from the front, set standards, and foster a positive, energetic kitchen environment for staff and customers alike.

You’ll work Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and alternate weekends, with hours ranging from early mornings to early afternoons, and weekend shifts throughout the year. Part-time hours with flexibility are available.

• Experience in a kitchen leadership or senior team role.
• Solid understanding of food safety and kitchen standards.
• Ability to train, coach and develop the team.
• Calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Grass Hoppers at Otley Garden Centre is growing, and we’re looking for a Kitchen Lead to join the team.

If you love the buzz of a busy kitchen, enjoy leading others and take pride in delivering great food every time, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

As our Kitchen Lead, you’ll be the go-to person in the kitchen, helping to keep service running smoothly, supporting the team and making sure every dish leaving the kitchen is something to be proud of.

Working closely with the Grass Hoppers Manager, you’ll lead from the front, set high standards and help create a positive, energetic kitchen environment where both colleagues and customers have a great experience.

You’ll be working Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and alternate weekends.

Weekday hours will be 8:45am to 2:15pm during term time and 8:30am to 4:00pm during school holidays. Weekend hours will be 8:30am to 4:00pm throughout the year.
