Grass Hoppers Otley is seeking a friendly Grass Hoppers Assistant to join our family adventure venue, helping run play areas and our café in a hands-on, active role.

You’ll welcome families, supervise bounce areas, take orders, prepare drinks, serve customers, and keep spaces clean and safe, all while working with a lively, supportive team. Training provided; enthusiasm matters most.

• Help support the Back of House Kitchen team with ad hoc duties and cleaning.

About the Role

As aGrass Hoppers Assistant, you’ll be right at the heart of the guest experience. This is ahands-on, varied rolewhere you’ll support both our play areas and café, making sure every visit is smooth, safe, and memorable.

Your day-to-day will include:

You can be assigned to multiple different areas within Grass Hoppers, for example a morning in outdoor play, and an afternoon in the Kitchen. Please see below the duties this role can involve:

• Welcoming families with a friendly, upbeat attitude
• Supervising play areas (bounce pillows, go-karts, climbing frames & more)
• Supporting guests and answering questions
• Taking food & drink orders and serving customers
• Preparing drinks and assisting with food service
• Keeping all areas clean, safe, and ready for fun
• Working as part of a supportive, energetic team
• Supporting on the pot washing machine, efficiently loading & unloading dishes & cutlery
• Preparing ingredients such as chopping vegetables for side salads, preparing sandwiches
• Helping support the Back of House Kitchen team with ad hoc duties and cleaning

No two days are the same - you’ll move between play and catering to help wherever needed.

Hours vary dependent on if we're in peak or off-peak season. Peak is our busiest 13 weeks out of the year (School holidays).

Average hours per week: 16 (off-peak), 32.5 (peak)

• Off-peak = Monday(9:15-4:45), Tuesday(11:30-2:30), Thursday(11:30-2:30) & Friday(11:30-2:30)
• Peak= Also working Wednesdays & working longer shifts until 5pm.
