Job summary

Otley Grass Hoppers Play Centre is hiring a part-time cleaner to maintain a large, active space. The role involves cleaning the play centre and kitchen, toilets, work surfaces and restocking supplies, with a physically demanding shift pattern across several days.

Weekly hours: 6.75, part-time

The role's shift pattern (6.75 hours per week):

• Monday: 8:45am - 10am
• Friday: 8:45am - 10am
• Saturday: 8:30am - 10am
• Sunday: 8:30am - 10am

We're looking for a Cleaner to work in our Otley Grass Hoppers Play Centre. We’re committed to providing a clean and safe environment for our customers, and we’re looking for someone who’s up to the challenge. This role is physically demanding, as you’ll be responsible for maintaining a large space, so it’s perfect for someone who enjoys staying active and on their feet.

Key Responsibilities:

As a cleaner/kitchen porter you will be responsible for:

• Keeping the Grass Hoppers Play Centre & kitchen clean
• Cleaning toilets
• Dusting all work areas
• Cleaning all worktops
• Restocking supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
• Following all safety procedures and guidelines

Skills Knowledge and Expertise:

The ideal cleaner/kitchen porter is someone who:

• Is above the age of 18 (legal requirement for some lone working)
• Knowledge of COSHH (preferred but not essential)
• Has above experience as a cleaner or kitchen porter (preferred but no essential)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Is hardworking, friendly and approachable.
• Great time management and attention to detail.
• Is able to work independently and as part of a team.
