Job summary

Delaware North UK is hiring a casual Kitchen Assistant to join our collaborative team at Stadium of Light in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be assisting the kitchen team with dishwashing and other culinary back-of-house tasks.

Qualifications

• No degree required.
• Strong skills in verbal communications, organisation, time management, attention to detail, and teamwork.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Previous experience in a catering kitchen is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Wash all crockery, cutlery, and light equipment using industrial machines, as well as hand washing larger items in designated sinks.
• Assist the culinary team to ensure smooth and effective catering service within the restaurant.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in food preparation and service areas.
• Assist with deliveries and ensure stock is replenished from stores and the kitchen as needed.
• Follow appropriate health, safety, and food hygiene guidelines, maintaining Delaware North’s policies and standards of excellence.

Pay

The expected pay for this role is £14.24 / hour

What will you do?
