Job summary

gobecare in Coatbridge, Scotland is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support meals service at a care home. 22 hours per week, between 7.00am and 7.00pm across a 2 week rolling rota, including every other weekend. Full induction and ongoing training provided.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, capable of teamwork, and committed to high standards of service, with full training offered if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred but full training will be given.
• Flexible approach to work and ability to work weekends.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• To help prepare meals under the direction of the Chef.
• Ensure kitchen and dining areas are hygienically clean.
• Load the dishwasher and wash-up as required.
• Assist with ordering supplies when needed.
• Maintain awareness of food hygiene regulations.
• Follow infection control policies and hand hygiene procedures.

Job description

We are currently looking to hire a full-time Kitchen Assistants to assist with the meals service at our Care Home in Coatbridge.

22 hours per week, between 7.00am and 7.00pm over 7 days on a 2 week rolling rota working every other weekend. If you are an experienced Kitchen Assistant then we would be very interested in hearing from you.

The ideal candidate will be experienced within a similar role, have a flexible approach to work and be able to work weekends. You will have a desire to deliver the highest possible standard within the role, have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Previous experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

The Role & Responsibilities:

• To help prepare meals under the direction of the Chef
• Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are hygienically clean
• To load the dishwasher and/or wash-up by hand when required
• Helping the Chef ordering of supplies if required
• Being fully aware of food hygiene regulations
• Complying with infection control policies and procedures and following appropriate hand hygiene measures
