Job summary

Fairlie Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team at Fairlie House, West Norwood. You will contribute to nutritious meals, support the Chef, and help maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation in a caring environment.

We value reliable, friendly staff who can work well with others and adapt to residents’ dietary needs. This role offers supportive training and opportunities within a leading specialist care provider.

Qualifications

• Previous Kitchen Assistant experience preferred but not essential.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe kitchen practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing breakfast, lunch and supper.
• Prepare sandwiches, soups and evening meals that are nutritious, varied and beautifully presented.
• Support the Chef with meal preparation and cooking.
• Help plan menus and contribute ideas for new dishes.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ensure dietary, nutritional and cultural requirements are always met.
• Take pride in delivering an excellent dining experience for our residents.
