Job summary

Fairlie Healthcare Group is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join the catering team at our care home. You will assist with breakfast, lunch and supper, prepare sandwiches and meals that are nutritious and well presented, and support the Chef while upholding high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Full Right to Work in the UK; we cannot offer sponsorship.
• Previous Kitchen Assistant experience is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.
• Good organisation and time management.
• Flexible and positive attitude.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe kitchen practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing breakfast, lunch and supper.
• Prepare sandwiches, soups and evening meals that are nutritious and well presented.
• Support the Chef with meal preparation and cooking; help plan menus and ideas.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly catering team.

Good nutrition plays a vital role in the health and wellbeing of our residents, and you'll play an important part in ensuring every meal is prepared and served to the highest standard.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assist with preparing breakfast, lunch and supper
• Prepare sandwiches, soups and evening meals that are nutritious, varied and beautifully presented
• Support the Chef with meal preparation and cookingHelp plan menus and contribute ideas for new dishes
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Ensure dietary, nutritional and cultural requirements are always met
• Take pride in delivering an excellent dining experience for our residents

What We're Looking For

• Full Right to Work in the UK (we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position and cannot accept Student Visa or Skilled Worker Visa applicants)
• Previous Kitchen Assistant Experience (preferred But Not Essential)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
