Job summary

Mayford Grange Retirement Village is seeking a Kitchen Assistant / Domestic Assistant on a bank basis to cover sickness and holidays, joining a warm and friendly team.

The role involves general cleaning, meal preparation support, washing and prepping vegetables, dishwashing, and maintaining a hygienic kitchen and resident-focused service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen or domestic environment is preferred but not essential.
• Enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices.
• Physically able to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
• Friendly and compassionate, especially with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning of designated areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for residents and staff.
• Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals.

Key Responsibilities

Domestic Assistant Duties
