Job summary

Bupa UK in Maidenhead is seeking a Kitchen Assistant (Bank) to join our care home team. You will support the main kitchen, plate meals, and help deliver a welcoming dining experience for residents.

The role offers flexible patterns and a bank contract with hourly pay between £13.10 and £14.10, depending on experience. Key duties include liaising between kitchen and residents, assisting chefs with meal preparation, maintaining clean prep areas, and monitoring stock rotation in line with

You’ll Help Us Make Health Happen
  • Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
  • Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy
  • Monitoring stock rotation, complying with company policies and procedures and following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines
  • Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties
Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role

A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You want to deliver an excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel at home. You’ll understand the importance of maintaining high standards in and around the home, ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience. Working with the wider kitchen and care home teams – you’re comfortable communicating with others, cherishing the little moments with our residents.
