Job summary

Aurem Care Shared Services Limited is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the everyday running of a care home kitchen and ensure a clean, safe dining environment for residents.

You will maintain hygiene, assist with serving meals, and help the team with general duties to ensure residents receive high-quality care and nutrition.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant is essential.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable following hygiene guidelines and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with COSHH guidelines.
• Wash up and care for kitchen equipment.
• Clean surfaces, floors and follow dishwasher schedule.
• Prepare and set up tea trolleys throughout the day.
• Assist with serving food and supporting residents.
• Clear food trays and keep dining areas tidy.
• Empty bins and manage waste disposal.
• Lay tables in the dining room.
• Prepare and serve drinks and refreshments for visitors.
• Support the kitchen team with general duties.

• Clearing food trays and keeping dining areas tidy
• Emptying bins and managing waste disposal
• Laying tables in the dining room
• Preparing and serving drinks and refreshments for visitors and relatives
• Supporting the kitchen team with general duties as required

About You
