Job summary

Choice Care Group is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare and serve healthy meals in our residential homes. You will manage weekly budgets, plan shopping and work with staff to ensure safety and quality. The role involves following dietary requirements and maintaining high hygiene standards.

With 16 hours weekly, you will join a supportive team and contribute to a caring environment that values wellbeing and continuity for residents and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or cooking in care settings is preferred.
• Ability to follow dietary requirements and dietary instructions.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow dietary requirements and cultural or religious needs.
• Maintain food hygiene and safe storage.
• Clean kitchen and wash dishes; keep area organised.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with deliveries.
• Work safely with equipment and report hazards.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety policies.
