Job summary

Bupa Croft House Care Home in Great Dunmow is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our bank staff. You will support the main kitchen, help plate meals, prepare food trolleys and keep prep areas clean while ensuring residents receive a high-quality dining experience.

You will work closely with chefs and care teams, monitor stock rotation, and assist with events and special occasions. A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and a passion for food are essential to deliver our resident-focused dining

Qualifications

• A passion for food with previous kitchen experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Commitment to delivering high standards at meals.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs to plate meals and prepare food trolleys.
• Maintain clean and tidy preparation areas.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH/HACCP guidelines.
• Help cater for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
