Job summary

Bupa UK is seeking a Kitchen Assistant on a Bank contract at Thatcham Court Care Home, Chapel Street, Thatcham RG18 4QL. The role offers a shift pattern within a dementia care setting, with salary between £13.30 and £14.30 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Passion for food and previous kitchen experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate required.
• Ability to deliver excellent service at each meal and make residents feel at home.

Responsibilities

• Act as the link between the main kitchen and residents.
• Assist chefs with plating meals, preparing food trolleys and maintaining cleanliness of preparation areas.
• Monitor stock rotation and comply with company policies, COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Help with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
