Job summary

Bupa's Argyles Care Home in Newbury is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join the bank team. You will support the kitchen, help plate meals, restock trolleys, and keep prep areas clean while delivering a warm dining experience to residents.

A passion for food and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate are welcomed. The role offers flexible bank shifts with competitive hourly pay of £13.30–£14.30, with benefits and working alongside a supportive care team.

Qualifications

• Passion for food with previous kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Link the main kitchen with residents and serve meals.
• Assist chefs to plate meals, prep trolleys and keep areas clean.
• Monitor stock rotation and follow COSHH/HACCP policies.
• Assist with catering for events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
