Job summary

Bupa Shockerwick House Care Home in Bath is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team. You will help the chefs plate meals, prep food trolleys and keep prep areas clean, while contributing to a high standard of dining for residents.

This permanent role is 27 hours per week with an hourly rate of £13.30–£14.30, depending on experience. A passion for food and Basic Food Hygiene Certificate are desirable, and we value great teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• A passion for food with previous kitchen experience.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Strong service delivery to residents.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents.
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Monitoring stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
• Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
